この報告書は企画展示「フランドル聖人伝板絵　フルーニング美術館・国立西洋美術館所蔵 フランドル聖人伝板絵―100年越しの“再会”」（国立西洋美術館　2025年10月25日～2026年5月10日、フルーニング美術館　2026年6月16日～10月26日）に関連した論文集です。２館が所蔵する板絵をめぐる美術史的、技法的調査（自然科学調査を含む）の結果が４点の論文として収録されています。

This volume records the results of research performed upon the occasion of the study exhibition Two Flemish Paintings from Tokyo and Bruges Reunited held at the National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo from October 25, 2025 to May 10, 2026 and at the Groeninge Museum from June 16 to October 26, 2026. The November 29, 2025 online lecture series were hosted by the National Museum of Western Art based on the essays published here.

展覧会紹介 フルーニング美術館・国立西洋美術館所蔵 フランドル聖人伝板絵―100年越しの“再会”｜国立西洋美術館 ブリュージュのフルーニング美術館と国立西洋美術館には、キリストの使徒、聖ヤコブの生涯の物語場面を描いた板絵がそれぞれ所蔵されます（以下、ブリュージュ作品・東京作品）。 両作品は1909年当時、ロンドンのファー画廊にありました。その後、ブリュージュ作品は1911年までにパリのクラインベルガー画廊へ移り、1912年にフルーニング美術館に入っています。クラインベルガー画廊が1911年に作成した目録に東京作品の記録はなく、これ以前に2点は分かたれていたと考えられます。東京作品は20世紀初頭に松方幸次郎によって購入され、日本に送られました。そしてその後、国内の個人コレクションを経て、2017年に国立西洋美術館に取得されることとなります。 2017年の取得に際して、国立西洋美術館では作品調査を実施し、その結果、東京作品がブリュージュ作品と、かつて同一の祭壇装飾ないし連作に属したものであることが確認されました。この再発見を機に企画された本展では、20世紀初頭にベルギーと日本に分かたれた二作品の100年越しの「再会」をはかります。また、2017年以降、フルーニング美術館、国立西洋美術館を中心に進めてきた作品調査の成果を、展示、講演会、論文集によってご紹介します。 ISBN 978-4-907442-49-1
